| "River Rats" is an episode where you don't see too many of the main characters appear, but it includes an incident where Tommy is exposed to a fear he's held onto since he was very little, and overcomes that fear with flying colors. I also think that Tommy and Chuckie's friendship gets redefined, and Tommy realizes how important of a friend Chuckie is. This adventure into the wild proves to be a bonding moment for the group, as they overcome obstacles and really gain an insight into their friendship and loyalty to each other. We also dive back into Tommy's past when he has a frightful experience on the river with Grandpa Lou, and still manages to jump into the river, saving Phil. |
