For as long as Tommy can remember, Angelica has always tricked him into doing things that she found enjoyable (and could laugh at). Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, and Dil prepare their car for the upcoming town derby races when Angelica finds out about it and enters herself into the race as well. The winner of the derby would race at the nationals which are being held in Paris, Texas. The only thing is, Angelica thinks it's Paris, France. A competition boils up between Tommy and Angelica - each one looking to out-race the other. Tommy would enjoy anything less than a victory in the race, just so he could rub it in Angelica's face. The race becomes more about Tommy's revenge than anything else, which leaves the rest of his friends upset.

Angelica is rather bored, so she decides to have a little fun at Tommy's expense.
Tommy accidentally sets the car in gear, which leaves the rest of the gang with this expression.
Angelica stops by to ruin the boys' fun. However, Tommy is determined to beat Angelica in the race.
Dil tries to stick up for Angelica, telling Tommy that she's nice to him. But Tommy explains otherwise.
Tommy and Phil both want to drive the car and things get a bit heated before a compromise is reached.
The car is about to get a test drive. Chuckie is going to time the car, while Dil will flag the car to start.
Needless to say, the test drive was a failure, with both front wheels falling off and the car barely moving.
Angelica wants to know why there was laughter coming from the Pickles garage, and she gets Harold to fess up.
This isn't what it looks like - Chuckie was in on the joke, too. They'd rather be having fun than working on a car.
Despite the troubles, the gang vows to have a car in tip-top shape, for whatever it takes.

The group decides to go around town to try and get some more money to help fix up the car.
Angelica has a similar plan and she uses Harold to get information on how her competitors' car is coming.
With only $20, they can't fix the car up too much. But they do decide to hold a carnival to help increase the earnings.
The only one who appears to be having any fun at the carnival is Lil, who ends up winning a few of Phil's things as prizes.
Stu isn't paying attention and leaves Tommy holding up his end of the derby car for much longer than Tommy cares to.
Susie won the Derby Pageant and will end up representing the town by singing in front of 50,000 people at the nationals.
It's race time and Tommy isn't about to let Angelica win first place without a fight to the finish.
Tommy manages to get his crew back together after confessing to them that he had been a jerk about things.
However Tommy (nor Angelica for that matter) never imagined the hill to be as steep as it was!
After the race is over, Angelica tells Tommy that she will ease up and be more of a nicer cousin in the future.
