Now the kids are trying to figure out a way to get to Missouri where their mothers are located. If the moms drove back for them in New Mexico, they'd never make it in time for the parade, and Susie would miss out singing her song. So Tommy asks around and he's able to get them rides on dogsleds, hot-air balloons, and a covered wagon. But it's still not fast enough and the wagon breaks down. They then try walking as much as they can, but they begin to lose all hope and become frustrated - and walking in the rain doesn't help matters. In the nick of time, their moms pull up in the fixed RV. However, Betty crashes the RV after avoiding Pumpkin, so they need to find a new way to get to New York City. Will they get there in time?

The gang confronts Tommy (more like Angelica) about losing the important credit card number to get where they need to go.
Phil and Tommy look over a map, trying to figure out where they need to go and how they're going to get there.
Kimi's new pet, Pumpkin, comes to the rescue of Phil and scares the bear away.
Susie is a bit perplexed when the gang uses shapes to identify states rather than knowing their real names.
Dil points out Kansas to Phil as they ride in balloons. The name of the state happened to be cut into a crop.
The gang starts walking the open road and it appears it can't get any worse for them.
They're tired, cold, hungry, and have no idea where their moms' are. They are really missing them now.
The 'Rats find themselves riding in a covered wagon, being driven by an Amish man. Lil is still at it with the soccer ball.
Phil is in big trouble when a bear walks up to him. The bear was after the animal remains in Phil's bag.
The gang breaks down and starts crying. Their attempt at finding the moms just hasn't gone as planned.

At the perfect time, the moms and the RV pull up. Tommy is most grateful to see his mom again.
When it seems things get better, they only get worse. Betty avoids hitting Pumpkin and crashes the RV into a power pole.
The 'Rats are finally on their way to New York City - inside of an onion truck.
The group has a noticeable onion-odor to them - something that the other people aren't shy to point out.
Susie thanks Angelica for helping her get to New York and says that it's "amazingly out of character."
Everyone watches as Susie's cheese float makes its way down the parade route to their location.
There's Susie on the float, singing about the many varieties of cheese that exist.
Phil is sorry for Chuckie, in that he didn't get a kiss like he wanted (but he didn't have to wait much longer).
Tommy, Dil, and Kimi watch in horror as Lil gets knocked over, and she loses count of her soccer hits.
But Lil is happy-go-lucky about it and starts her streak for the record all over again.
