Angelica has a major crush on Darryl, but she doesn't know if he likes her as much as she likes him. She is determined to find out; the only thing is, her mother gets in the way! Charlotte loses her job as her employer cuts back and now finds herself being a full-time mom. The two have plenty of mother-daughter activities together, but Angelica finds herself overwhelmed by this sudden attention by her mother. Will she ever find out if Darryl likes her? Meanwhile, Tommy and Rachel have their first disagreement - and it happens to be over Didi! Tommy is getting very annoyed by the fact that whenever Rachel comes over, she spends the entire time with his mother. That is when Dil eventually gets involved in the mix-up.

At first Angelica denies that she likes Darryl, but then finally gives in that she has a major crush on him.

Meanwhile, Tommy expects Rachel over for dinner with his whole family, but Dil is in the midst of a backwards phase!

Tommy then explains how Dil was supposed to be a girl and that Didi would've had a girl around the house then.

Due to company cut-backs, Charlotte is out of a job! She's holding on as long as she can but is eventually forced out.

Rachel is having a good time, especially with Tommy's mother. In fact, Tommy feels completely left out.

So Dil tries to lend his big brother a hand, by dressing up as a girl and spending lots of time with his mother.

Angelica holds a sleep over at her house just so she can find out if Darryl likes her as much as she likes him.

Angelica explains the predicament she finds herself in with Susie: her mother just won't leave her alone!

Rachel stops by again and Tommy tries changing his look a bit. But before he can stop her, she's headed to see Didi.

However, on the day that Angelica is supposed to see Darryl play in his band, Charlotte plans a mother-daughter outing.

So Angelica is with her mother and they are about to set sail in a little dingy. Angelica hopes the event goes by fast.

Tommy is frustrated with Rachel always spending time with his mother and they get into their first fight.

Things do not go very well for Angelica and Charlotte at sea as they get farther and farther away from shore.

Tommy ends up breaking a glass vase of Didi's. That is when he shares his feelings to his mother about Rachel.

Didi explains the whole "Dil supposed to be a girl" situation and apologizes to Tommy for monopolizing Rachel.

Things can't get much worse for the mother-daughter duo. But they are eventually able to turn the boat around.

After getting off to a terrible start to their adventure, Angelica and Charlotte end up bonding after all.

Angelica is about as red as a tomato, but that's not stopping her from telling Darryl that she likes him.
